Filante SLR was designed to give maximum aerodynamic performance in real environmental conditions. The study was based on data collected in the wind tunnel (where the wind is very clean for homogeneous empirical results) also taking into consideration the real world. In doing so we do not only evaluate the typical wind tunnel data (yaw angles from -20° to + 20°) but we also consider the turbulence of the environment that interferes with the bike for the most diverse reasons.

For this reason we have redesigned the profiles, starting from the NACA / KAMM standard but no longer with sharply cut edges on the rear. Softened corners therefore, which allow for better performance even when the air flow is disturbed.

The inside of the front fork has been widened by 7mm and is therefore 13.6% wider than the Cento10PRO fork. By doing this we moved the fork blades away from the wheel, reducing turbulence and thus improving aerodynamics.

The new aerodynamically optimized profiles have allowed us to save even more weight in the construction of the frame. The shape without a sharp edge requires less material and less resin in the corners. This makes the interior more homogeneous and allows the weight of the frame to stop the scale at 870 grams. The bike assembled with top-of-the-range specifications weighs 6.8 kg.

Thanks to the different types of carbon used together with the Liquid Crystal Polymer, the particular positioning of the fibers and the construction technology we have managed to achieve a level of lightness and rigidity of absolute level.

The lower overall weight in relation to the very high level of torsional rigidity has increased the STW by 12.5%. This improvement is clearly perceived with the precision of steering and the feeling of safety that you have at high speeds.
